Question:
7900 series card and Matte Screen
EDIT: With a resolution above WXGA+/1440x900. I know the Dell E1705 has that as an option, but I want at least WSXGA if not WUXGA.
Does such a laptop exist? I keep looking and all I can find are glossy screens... and glossy screens can not work for me.
If not, does anyone know any sort of means with which to replace a glossy screen with a matte one?

I cannot seem to understand why matte screens are so unavailable... glossy screens give horrendeus reflections on any dark color schemes. Am I seriously the only one out there who cannot stand looking into a mirror while playing Doom 3?

No, I'm on an e1705 at this moment and my friend with a nx860xl is sitting right next to me...looks plenty glossy to me. The CLOSEST I think you can get is as you said the e1705. Good luck on your search.

17" notebooks are more mulitmedia oriented notebooks which tend to be glossy.
