what are you looking for:
-gaming notebook
-light & portable notebook
-bang for the buck
-screen size: 14.1", 15.4", 17", 19"
etc..
If you want the highest end that goes for $3000 then look towards the Clevo notebooks (the highest of the high end, which are sold by Alienware, VooDoo PC, Sager, etc.)

I would say the M1710. If you live in the US check the dell outlet as you can get the best deal

Depends on what kind of preference you have for screen size.
For a 17 inch notebook, the Sager 5760 Gophn suggested is one of the most powerful notebooks available.
If you prefer a 15'4 inch screen, your options would increase greatly. Theres the Acer Travelmate 8215 and the Acer Ferrari 5000. Theres also the Compal HEL80 and the HP nc8430 and the Asus S96j/Z96j. Another option is the flagship LG S1 (see my sig for specs). All of these have very similar specification (but quite varied price ranges...with the LG being the most expensive)
If your looking for a smaller notebook, theres the 14'1 inch Asus A8Js. This little monster can chew up games as well as other powerful 15'4 inch and some 17 inch notebooks.
Consider filling out the FAQ, it would bring about more focussed and efficient replies :)

Opps. i should i have specified. I wasnt asking for help on choosing a laptop. I already have the one i want in mind ( the Sager 5760, actually), i was just wondering what YOU would get.

As long as 17" wasn't an issue for me (and it is since I've owned a 17" system and now prefer 15.4"), the Sager NP5760 is the way to go.

no prob, at least i gave you some more info on the configurations and pricings from different OEMs.
I already have my beast of a notebook, look at my sig... (with power brick, its a whopping 17 lbs) yup i carry this thing around with my 4-5 days a week.
I always wanted a Clevo, so I had to save and plan to be able to build mine up from barebones.

Yup! Im only one paycheck from being able to afford this. I think ill crisson it with Company of heros. If that hasnt arrived before my laptop,(I cant pick it up at the store, As far as i know Iraq dosent have a gamestop :( ) then ill pick up Oblivion. I saw it last time i was in an Iraqi flea market.
