Did I get ripped off?

a couple of days ago I purchased a used but great condition Acer Aspire 5500 laptop for $1200 NZ ($800 US), and I have been feeling a bit uneasy about my purchase.
Do you think that it was a good buy for a mid range gaming laptop? Here are the specs:
Pentium M 760 (2 GHz) 533fsb 2mb cache. (Centrino)
1GB DDR2 533 PC4200
ATI Radeon X700 64mb
80GB 5400 HDD (8MB Cache)
14.1 Widescreen Crystalbrite

Thats a decent system, but for the price you could have gotten more...
Compal HGL30 is also 14", but with Core 2 Duo and nVidia 7600.]
Go to Powernotebooks.com, and check out the re-branded Compal HGL30 (Sager NP2030).
UPDATE: didnt realize that you paid $800 US, thought it was $1200.
Good system for your purposes and for the price.

The Compal goes for 1200 base price. Just be happy with what you got, its a decent computer.

power plentiful, light and easy on battery
1GB DDR2 533 PC4200
good stock ram, system would fly
ATI Radeon X700 64mb
very very decent graphic card, can do a lot with it
80GB 5400 HDD (8MB Cache)
fast decent size of hard drive
14.1 Widescreen Crystalbrite
just right for mobility and good for the eyes

it is a decent price, usually I just noticed because of the dedicated video card always bump up the price depending series and the mb.
