This is my first post here, hello to all of you - lovely forum you've here.
Anyhow - I have a question to you guys
My profession is Nerd and because of that I need a laptop. But, I dont know which one. I have about 1415.75$ to spend.
What will I use my laptop to;
- Webdesigning
- Music
- Gaming (World of Warcraft and some newer games - Highest resolution/details is not a requirement)
What would I like;
It would be awesome with an Core 2 Duo processor.
I looked in the '' - Anything between Nvidia Geforce GO6600 to Nvidia GeForce Go7950GTX

Naw we would not do that, but some of the suggestions we give might not be available were you live.
First of all I am not sure what size screen you are looking at (filling out a FAQ would help) but you could look into the HP nc8430 or the Asus F3Jm. I am not sure if you can get the Compal HEL80/30 were you are but they are good options to. All of the notebooks I mentioned come with GPUs that are better than the Go6600 so they should play any of the games you want to play at the res you like.

c. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

Webdesigning, Internet, Music, Gaming.

Sometimes in the weekends I'll go to LAN - But hey, I'm used to go around with my huge computer.

Uhm, I dont like the name Fujitsu-Siemens, but if they are cheaper I'll chose 'em.

Like one hour, not much.

Nope, I'll read some reviews or something - Im used to buy on the Internet without seeing.

Macbook fits right in your budget...assuming your budget figures are in US Dollar and not in like Euros. Actually if it's in Euros, even better, since the Euro is stronger than the dollar.

Second the Compal...HEL80, whatever brand name it might be under. You should be able to get it in under your budget.
