What's a cheap gaming laptop under $1000 to play GTA:SA, Counterstrike and maybe Flight Simulator? Im Getting a laptop for Christmas and my mom says it has to be under $1000.

Hmm...under $1000 is going to be difficult, but see if you can configure an HP dv6000t for that with the Go7400 video chip. You should still be able to get a Core Duo (minimum) and a gig of RAM along with the Go7400 and keep it under $1000.
A Dell E1505 may be a possibility too depending on what deals/coupons are available, but I personally would choose HP over Dell (I don't like Dell's styling).

for $1000 i'd recommend the Dell.. not because I have one, but because they tend to be cheaper (worse build quality), therefore you can stack more things on it than a HP for that price.

Nope, i think that dell's more Xpensive than HP.
Try comparing it based on their web-sales.

I'm a broken record, but the HP dv6000t is a great choice. The notebook looks very appealing in person and has very good quality. Configure here:

If this is possible--definitely go that route.
Otherwise, the HP dv6000t with go 7400 and Dell e1505 with x1400 are the way to go as mentioned repeatedly above.
