Budget notebook + occasionally gaming NL

Question:
Budget notebook + occasionally gaming NL
A friend of mine asked me about what new notebook to buy. Although I'm looking for a notebook myself, I couldn't really come up with anything that matches his tight budget.
I've seen notebooks with an X1300 or GF7300, but not too many and I'm thinking an x1400 might be a little bit better. But maybe there is no right choice.

Welcome to the forums.
With your budget you may be stuck with a used notebook.
I'm not sure about prices in your area, but you can try the HP dv6000t or Dell e1505. You may be stuck with something like the Compaq V3000z or V6000z with the integrated Nvidia go 6150--not much gaming power but perhaps the best you can do with your budget.
Maybe a desktop is the best way for you to go. That will give you more flexibility.
Good luck.

I think i'm gonna advise my friend the Dell Inspiron 6400 (which is the 1505). It comes for around 800 euro and covers the Intel t2050, 1 gig of ram, 120 gb harddrive and the Ati x1300.
A reasonable deal I guess...

A reasonable deal I guess... Try to get the x1400. It shouldn't cost much more and is going to be a better gaming card.
