How do you check the RPM speed?
Hi everyone.
I purchased a laptop and upgraded to a 40G 5400 RPM HD. How can I verify that my laptop actually has this installed in it? Thank you in advance for your help.

In device manager, the drive will be listed. If you can't decode the model number listed, put it in a Google search and you should be able to find out the speed that way with no problem.

Thanks for the advice Brian. I found it, did a google search, and confirmed that it was a 5400 RPM.
