The Asus will be the best built from the three that you have linked, however the Fujitsu Siemens has the most graphics power. If you want to game, then you may want to condier that notebook. The build quality is quite good on the Fujitsu Siemens as well. Read the review, linked below, for more information.

The Dell is a good purchase, but it lacks graphics power. If you want to purchase it, it is best if you purchase it with Go 7900 GS configured. Those graphics are much better than either of thr two. However, the price might go up quite a bit.

I personally would not buy a 17" notebook with anything below the Go 7900 GS but that's me. Also, Dell Inspiron 9400 is not worth buying with the X1400 in my opinion.
Otherwise, check out the Zepto Znote 2425W (a.k.a. Compal HEL80) if you don't mind 15.4"

Thanks for all the replies guys,
I have not heard of Zepto before, are they a reliable make? Anyone have any firsthand experience?
I'm still not sure which one to go for, as was said they're all pretty much the same. Taking out the factor of different graphics cards, would there be little to no variation in performance? i.e. if i customise them with a gfx card I want, is the only factor left to consider the build quality/added extras?
I'm kind of incling towards the asus but I don't know why really, i think I just like the name asus :) I like the dell but would prefer it if I could get rid of all the pointless bundled software and such they add so I could save a few bob!

You could look at the reviews.
