Will be taking it with me everywhere.

No.
6) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
no.
7) How many hours of battery life do you need?
As much as possible. I have meetings that can go 7 or 8 hrs.
8) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person?
No.

100gb should be OK.

No, but would be nice.
The most important qualities for me would be its battery life, low weight and key board. Right now I am considering the X60 Thinkpad and I also haven't ruled out the X60 Tablet.

Look at the Thinkpad X60, although it is a tablet PC. Also look at the HP nc2400 and nc4400 business notebooks. Other options include the Dell XPS1210 and the Asus W5F. The Sony Vaio TX series may be another option, although they are expensive.

I would look at the Asus W5F first. The built-in webcam should be very useful for videoconferencing. The XPS M1210 also has a built-in webcam and may get better battery life with the extended battery, but it's heavier than a typical 12 inch machine.
One other problem is that both of these are glossy. However, the built-in cam may offset that for you since you said you'd be video-conferencing.

...are excellent. ;) The Asus might be better for you because as mentioned, it has a built-in webcam. You can always buy notebook webcams if the notebook you buy does not have one built-in, like these:

The x60 Tablet does have some models which offer SXGA+. You can look in the tabook to find the machine types.
