Help me pick. Plz recomend
Plz help me by recomending a laptop that I can have to replace my now old desktop PC. I will run the laptop with WLAN and would also like Bluetooth connectivity option.

Doesn't really matter, but I like to have alot of windows open at the same time, so maybe Widescreen would help.

a. XGA -1024x768 - Large and easy to read text + graphics icons, but you fit less stuff on the screen.
b. SXGA - 1400x1050 - Compromise resolution between XGA and UXGA.

Widescreen
d. WXGA or WXGA+ - 1280x768/800 or 1440x900; Wider viewing version of XGA, good for movie viewing or spreadsheets.

Go for the 17" since it's a desktop replacement. Recommend HP Dv9000, get the AMD cpu if u r low on budget, but go for intel if possible.
U can check out Dell too, but i m not sure bout it.

Is the difference between AMD and the new Intel Core 2 Duo realy that big that I will be able to notice it?

Mentally yes, physically u wont notice at all. But 1 thing u ll notice is the battery life, intel has the upper hand on that but it all comes down to how the company optimize the notebook.
