Advice requested - which notebook to buy - FAQ completed
Hi,
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have. :)
I currently have an ASUS W3V which I purchased last year based on suggestions here (THANK YOU!) and while I have enjoyed it, there are two things I want to do differently this time. The first is that I would like a larger screen with higher resolution and the second is that I don't want a right side air vent. :( (I am one of those people who find it too hot and I use a mouse exclusively.)

You have tons of options since you don't have many specific requirements with an x amount of budget costs, I'll start with the ASUS W2jc, it's quite expensive, but will fit into your categories well(Though so do alot others).
The HP dv9000 is another option for a less expensive machine.

I'd toss in the HP nx7400 which you can get with a WSXGA+ screen.

Asus G1 is an option, although I'm not sure about the vent.

Thank you for your replies! I have begun checking out the suggestions.
Unfortunately for me, both the ASUS W2JC and V1JP have the right side vents. But the ASUS G1 remains in the running! (the vent has been moved to the rear)
I also looked at the HP choices and both remain in the running, though my preference so far is for the dv9000 which I find aesthetically more pleasing than the nx7400.
I'll check again later in the day to see if there are any other options you all think might be good. Otherwise, I will probably go ahead and look at both the G1 and dv9000 again and make my choice.
Muchas gracias

You may also like the Compal HEL80 or HP nc8430 or Asus Z96J, but I don't think you need that much GPU.
Perhaps something like the Fujitsu E8210 would be a good fit for you.
