High end notebook needed

Question:
High end notebook needed
What I’m looking for may be a contradiction or non-existent but please give me your best suggestions. I’ll give general requirements here and break things down in more specifics below. I’m looking for a high-end desktop replacement notebook. I would like the notebook to have a high-end (2.0 or 2.1 mhz) Centrino processor and high end ATI (at least 128 meg but 256 meg would be better) video card. I need at least 1 gig of ram. A 17” reflective screen, similar to the HP’s bright view, is a must.
Recently I purchase a zd8000 and really liked it until I had to take it on an airplane. The airplane’s power-jack would not run the zd8000 because, I’m assuming, the laptop was pulling more power than the plane’s power jack produced.
After talking with Dell, I set my hp zd8000 back and ordered an Inspiron 9200. I was very excited about receiving the Inspiron 92000 because it had an ATI Radioen Video Card instead of a NVIDIA card. Also the 9200 had a Centrino Mobility chip instead of a Pentium chip which I hoped would make it a little lighter, would draw less current and make the computer able to run from an airplane’s power jack. The 9200 was great until I opened it up and saw that it did not have a reflective screen similar to the HP’s Brightview. So now I have to send that laptop back, mainly because the Dell sales person guaranteed that the Inspiron 9200 had the same type of reflective, high gloss screen that the zd8000 had. Anyway below are the specific details of what I want.
General Usage
I will mainly be using the computer for high-end gaming and vb programming.
I’m looking for a desktop replacement. The lighter the better. Weight is important but not a deciding factor.
I have to be on an airplane maybe once every three months…so airplane friendly is nice..but then again is not a deal breaker. I would like the laptop to be able to be powered by an airplane’s power jack.
I usually buy an extra battery with my laptops. Battery life is somewhat important. I would like to find a laptop running a Centrino chip.
How long do you intend on using this laptop? 3-5 years
Features
I need about 40-80 gigs of hard drive space.
I will be burning DVDs
I Do not tend to work with a lot of applications at once.
Graphics & Display
A 17” widescreen is a must. The screen must be a high gloss, reflective screen similar to the HP’s Brightview screen
I will be playing the latest games on the computer but will not be doing any Maya programming
Miscellaneous
Do you care if your notebook looks good or not? No
Are there particular brands you prefer or won't buy from? No
How much are you willing to pay for this notebook? Around $3500
I’ve looked at Dell’s 9200, HP zd8000, Toshiba’s Qoismo, and Sony’s Vaio’s A series. The Qoismo would be perfect if I could upgrade the processor from a 1.8 to a 2.0-2.1 Mhz). The Sony’s A models would be great but their video card blows and cannot be upgraded from a 64 meg card).
Also, a warranty that has on-site repair is a must. I do not want to have to ship my laptop off or drop it off at a repair depo.
Here is what my dream machine would be: 2.1 mhz Centrino processor, 265 ATI Radieon video card, 1 gig of memory, 17” brightview type screen, a DVD burner, and an on-site next day warranty. I do not want to ship my laptop off for repair.
Please give me your best suggestion. Thanks in advance
Answer: u could try Falcon Northwest
www.falcon-nw.com
Or VoodooPC
www.voodoopc.com
Both are horridly overpriced for what u get tho, u could find the exact same models Cheaper.
Theres also Sager PCtorque is a sager reseller
www.pctorque.com
HypersonicPC also
www.hypersonic-pc.com
Only problem is i dont know if those screens have anything close to brightview, and Falcon has an Overnight Shipping for repairs, they will ship it back overnight aswell. Voodoo and Hypersonic both have onsite i believe.
Answer: If display is important to you, also consider the Fujitsu N6000 series.
