1) What is your budget?
around 2000$$ (+/- 1000)
2) What size notebook would you prefer?
Thin and Light; 13" - 14" screen
or
Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen
3) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook?
Internet/music/photes/a lot of Word documents/watching movies
4) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk?
Leaving it on my desc mostly.
5) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?
no,only online games:)
6) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
I'd prefer Sony or Apple,but as I said I am total zero in this so I don't really know
7) How many hours of battery life do you need?
about 2 hours would be OK
8) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person?
A friend of mine will be buying it for me in another country

The HP Pavilion dv6000 would be a good buy. It's available in Russia as the dv6145ea.

the macbook or the sony sz are nice options. if you can find it, the asus w7j is pretty nice looking. the samsung x11 or lg r1 are some other options, though you may not be able to find them in russia.
