Re: Which notebook
If you want to purchase a Dell, your only option is the E1505 with the mid-range X1400 graphics card.
If you want a more powerful graphics card, check out the Asus S96J and/or Compal HEL80, which come with the X1600 and Go7600 respectively, which are both about twice as powerful as the X1400.

Re: Which notebook
you can get an HP NC8430 for $1400, it has a ATI X1600 which will play the newest games. I have one myself and absolutely love it. It is also kind of light at 6lbs. the only requirements it doesn't meet is it only has 80gb hard drive and only a dvd/cdrw. which if call to place your order you might be able to talk them down on the price. the matte screen is nice I prefer them over glossy screens. I get about 3:30 hrs of batter life on mine.
