ati v5200 vs nvs 510m (nw8440 vs nc9420)
I'll make it quick,I have 2 options that I could buy
1:hp nw8440 with ati v5200 video card
2:hp nc9420 with nvidia nvs 510m
I work with high demanding 3d apps like 3dsmax and maya and
I don't care about the weight and dimension difference ,I just wants to know what video card works better for my work
the v5200 is based on the x1600,has advanced 3d options for my apps (advanced opengl driver),but has weak 3d performance(nearly half the nvs around 3000 3dmarkds05)
the nvs 510m is bassed on the 7900 gpu and have a great 3d performance (nearly 7000 3dmarks05) but doesn't have any 3d opengl acceleration
note:i have a budget of 2000$ max,so I can't afford the nw9440

well, what is there more to say...
faster more expensive
slower, but more battery life and cheaper
you decide.
by the way NVS 510m HAS opengl acceleration ... it's the new name for the quadro.
