What I'm trying to get to is a short list that I can do some thorough research on my own. Contenders so far ar Alienware m5550, Rock Pegasus 665. My brother just got a sweet sony VGN-FE41Z which seems great but a bit too pricey for me.
Your help is greatly appreciated!

Re: I'd appreciate your notebook suggestions...
You could look at Asus brand notebooks as well, the Asus G1 is a pretty sweet looking machine and has an Nvidia Go 7700 graphics card, it's a popular machine at the moment. The Asus A8Js would also be a fit. If you want to get something for a bit cheaper that fits your needs, the Dell Inspiron 6400 with an ATI X1600 graphics card could be on the list.

Re: I'd appreciate your notebook suggestions...
You may want to consider the Asus F3JP. It may need a RAM upgrade to 2 GB, if you wish to play the games at resonably high settings, and without lag. The Alienware M5550 is a good option, as is the Pegasus 665. Those two notebooks are actuall the same, just rebranded. Although, if you don't prefer Alienware, then go for the Pegasus. Alot of people on the forum say they are very good, and have goo customer/technical services. I have linked some useful pages below:
