[Italy] Suggestion about xps m1710
hi everybody, i'm new to this forum... and sorry for my pity english, i'm not so good at it :P
i have to buy a laptop, i need to replace my old desktop and i'm oriented on a dell xps m1710, due to my great love for pc games :D
the point is: would it be better for me to wait till new centrino duo will be released in order to get a lower price on my xps, or will be there no significant changes on prices?

Hi Mornon. Welcome to the forums. Your English is fine--I understand you completely.
I'm not so sure Dell will offer a price break on current Core 2 Duo versions of the XPS M1710 when Centrino Pro is released. I think it's more likely that they will charge more for the Centrino Pro notebooks when that happens.
Have you considered the Clevo M570U? It's a higher-quality notebook with the same performance and is generally cheaper than the Dell XPS. You can read more about them in the Clevo Guide and in the Sager/Clevo Forums here at NBR.

Well, As Chry says, i also would suggest to you the Clevo M570U!
Right now its the best Gamin Portable Machine!
No matter i purchased it for other purposes i can tell you that is really solid laptop wich can give you amazing performances even better than the XPS and with lower price!
Plus, as Italian, i can also advice you where to look in order to purchase the Clevo M570U(If you take this good option) and have a really good deal and great assistance also in Italy.

yeah clevo m570's retail price is lower! but i've probably found a friend of mine who lives in UK and it seems he could find an xps 1710 even cheaper!
so atm i'm in contact with him trying to work something out of this deal.
anyway i bookmarked the link giuseppe suggested me and i read the clevo guide, u've been very helpful!
