Sony has good build quality, stunning style, and up-to-date components. The only flaw to them is their price. However you can find some pretty good deals on them. All in all they are a great laptop. You can't go wrong with one.

Re: How do you feel about Sony Vaio laptops?
I've owned a 6 year old Sony Vaio R505-CT and it's still functioning.
I've dropped my laptop(inside a bag( on concrete one and the hinge has been badly damaged. If it weren't for that, it will still be in good condition.
Battery life was only satisfactory but that because it was a Pentium III. During 2002, the battery replacement was ultra expensive $999AUD from sony style.
Just as tornclothingblake said, the price is expensive and only 1 year warranty. However, Sony are made in Japan, so maybe that's why they're expensive.

After the s**t with their batteries,I lost a lot of trust for their laptops and they are expensive, too. But I have a lot of friends with Vaio,so I must use them every day, want or don't want.
