exchangeable cd-rom/drive bay
hello
as the title says,which notebooks have cd-rom bays that can be swapped with a hard disk drive?
i searched the forum,but found only some IBMs(too expensive) and some asus models.

The ThinkPad R60 which starts around $700 has a modular bay. Perhaps you should consider the FAQ and post back.

I thought these notebooks that have swappable drive bay are rare,so I didn't want to set limits
found out IBM R60 from model number 065xx -- 1834x don't have bay slot,and 1843x --964 have.

If you only need two hours of battery life, you probably don't need a modular battery. What kind of games do you play? That will affect what kind of graphics card you need.

the modular bay is for another hard disk,don't need battery life that much.
currently have ati x700 and games play just fine (CoD,half life,NFS are 3D,other are 2D (knights of honor,etc))
closest IBM is at 1450€ (intel T5600,1G RAM,ATI x1400) and it is R60e,so probably without modular bay.
was also looking at hp pavilion 9xxx series - have 2xHDD + DVD,will see.
