Help me decide!!!
OOOOOOOk... So after reading and researching I came to the conclusion that i wanted a gateway nx860xl. Everyone is claiming that there getting 15% off and getting all this free stuff. So... I call gateway tonight... Expecting to pay no more than 1500 shipped to my door. Now... I talk to this guy Tony Rigo... Nice former Army Soldier. I find this out because i mention I am in the navy so i try to spin the Military discount. So long story short. Best he could do was 1864 after tax. Ummm... Wtf? He couldnt do a thing. Wouldnt budge. I told him that I was looking at dells e1705. He claimed that gateway makes a far superior product. So i told him i would think about it. 1864? What gives. How are all of you getting this notebook at only 1600 shipped. So now after all this... I need help. Dell seems to be the only competitor here. But it looks like im going to have to pay the same price. Any ideas, tips, secrets? Something... Help me out here guys. Basically what im looking for is -

He claimed that gateway makes a far superior product.
That's debatable. I kinda like the e1705 as a very good budget gaming notebook. They styling isn't all that great, but low price and the 7900 makes up for it. I know Dell offers some pretty good military discounts. They are sometimes posted over on FatWallet. Good Luck.

I think you are more likely to get a deal on a Dell than the Gateway.
