Apple MacBook Pro vs. Asus Lamborghini VX1
Hi !
i had already bothered you guys sometime back..asking advice about the new Apple MacBook Pro 17inch..and i have already have ordered one..
but since yesterday, ever since i saw the Asus Lamborghini VX1, i have gone nuts !! over the notebook i mean !!
so i wanted to know you sincere, frank, unbiased opinion about the Asus Lamborghini VX1..and compare it with the new Apple MacBook Pro..the pros and cons..
both have awesome looks..
if your opinions convince me to buy the Asus Lamborghini VX1..i will buy it and exchange it with my sister..she'll take the Apple MacBook Pro..
so please please, advice..
also, can i customise the notebook?

I honestly think that the paint job and style of the lamborghini looks pretty cheap. A guy at school has one. I mean, it looks okay compared to say, a dell, but overall it realy looks fairly mediocre.
But, looks are hardly what you should judge a notebook by really. Having a notebook that looks good is great and and all, but it's far less important than having one that meets your needs.

The VX1 is pretty much the ASUS V6j, but with buffed up specs, so for $900 more, you get +1gb ram to 2gb, +60gb to 160gb, +OC for 7400, Paint Job for lid, +1 year warranty to 2 years, and +330 days of dead pixel free guarantee, to 1 full year. Now is it worth it? Your choice, though the Lambo VX2/VX3 are still under production with their specs/size unknown.
In both cases, customizing by end user would mean a voided warranty.

I feel the MBP is a hell lot better than the VX1. I just feel the VX1 cheap... not even a competitor to the Acer Ferrari. It has so many weaknesses, no widescreen is the biggest of all. Hope they improve the next time.

Shouldn't say nothing without any proof or first hand look.
VX1 = V6j, and if you've ever seen a V6 before.....it's ASUS's flagship model.

Well you Know the Asus comes with a go7400 which is about half as powerful as the X1600 in the MBP. also as was mentioned before the Asus comes with a 15inch standard aspect screen compared to the MBP's 17inch wide screen. also there seem to be no heat problems with the new MBP.
