Hardware quality-Poll

Question:
Hardware quality-Poll
Can a forum master shorten the title on the poll?
I thought I would start a poll to help determine what people feel are high quality units. This seems to be a regular question in most forums.
If you have only had the opportunity to work with a single manufacturers units, please don't vote. This way we can utilize the knowledgebase for those who have!
So, based on the manufacturers you have had a chance to work with which do you feel has the highest quality build?

Re: Hardware quality-Poll
It's gonna be a real biased results, most people don't have experience with more then 1 unit, and of course, all brands have different respectable classes, business class which is more rugged, stable and built better, consumer class, built cheaper, more affordable, etc. Then there is the price range, a person with a sub $1000 notebook can't compare to a $3000 notebook of a different brand.

And you've forgotten Apple! My MBP is so much higher quality than my previous dell and my mate's asus.

Re: Hardware quality-Poll
My apology, I realized that lack of apple right after and assumed I could edit it later...it appears I can not, unless I am missing something.
This is not working out quite as I expected...
Maybe a admin can fix it and make it more useful?

Can a forum master shorten the title on the poll? Done.
This is going to be biased as posted.

Re: Hardware quality-Poll
most people are biased towards what the own...
whatever most people own is most likely going to come out on top..
but anyways... IMO, lenovo makes some very rock solid laptops. of course higher end laptops of any brand will be better than lower end laptops of even good brands.
i have had experience with quite a few laptops from the following:
lenovo/ibm
toshiba
fujitsu
dell
sony
hp/compaq
acer

Re: Hardware quality-Poll
I have no bias towards any laptop I own, because currently I don't have a laptop :D.
I think the Lenovo Thinkpad series has top quality build, but the credit really goes to IBM since they started the Thinkpads, and Lenovo decided to live up to IBM's standards.
Asus laptops are still top quality as well, a reason why Asus and Lenovo are tied at the polls at the moment.
Dell and Toshiba are generally not as good, but cheap.
HP is the better alternative to Dell and Toshiba for around the same price.
Acer is like HP as well.
Sony is good quality, with some problems sometimes, but generally expensive.
My opinions on quality and pricing on the major manufacturers.

Re: Hardware quality-Poll
My goal was to try and have a place where newbies can glance at some statistics regarding what the hard cores feel are well built units.
I for one only have experience with Dell, HP, Toshiba, and Fujitsu in a corporate environment setting units up...not using them...and would not consider myself to be a valid resource as to "which laptop should I buy?"
If someone can figure a better way to get this sort of data (maybe target people in the forum who have over 300 posts (or something) that would be great.
At least I tried.....
