Opinions on Toshiba Satellite M115-S3094?

Question:
Opinions on Toshiba Satellite M115-S3094?
I am shopping for a new laptop for my wife and we saw this model at Micro Center and also at Circuit City. http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Speci...cation.do#tabs
It looks to have the things she needs, as long as we add either another 512MB RAM or add 1GB. Does anyone have any opinions about this machine? It looks like a good value, but I am a total novice. I would appreciate any feedback on this laptop and Toshiba, in general.

What are you going to do with it? The memory likely comes in 2x256MB sticks, so you'd need to buy 2 512MB sticks to get to 1GB.

Word processing, internet surfing/e-mail, photo storage. I do not expect that there will be heavy gaming.
That is a good point about the memory. I will need to check that out.

For those things, performance will be fine. Toshiba's keyboards have been a bit spongy in my opinion. Perhaps you want to consider the FAQ and post back.

Hi ZaZ,
I just read you reply about the Toshiba keyboard being a bit spongy. What do you mean by that; what happens? I own a Toshiba and am wondering if that is what I'm experiencing with my keyboard.
Thanks,
Christine
