c. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

3) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook? Web surfing, DVD's, Large movie files(RedVsBlue and some wow vids) games. DealerSocket(Used by the car dealership i work at, Its web based)
4) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk?
It will go between work and home it will most likely be plugged in most of the time.
5) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?
World of Warcraft, BF:V and Maybe Half-Life 2
6) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
Im Open to most brand I had an old Dell P3 that I bought in 2000 or 2001 it was good for the most part
7) How many hours of battery life do you need? 2-3
8) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person? Nope dont have a problem with that

Standard but I can live with a WS

As long as it is not beige and has newer styling

Notebook Components
15) How much hard drive space do you want; 40GB to 160GB? 80gb-100gb But it can come with a smaller drive i'll end up, upgrading it down the road.
16) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a DVD-ROM, DVD-CD/RW or DVD-RW drive? DVD- Rom is fine i can do the burning with my Desktop.

well for $850, your best bets would be the dell e1505 and the hp dv6000

Possibly the 15" ThinkPad R60 with the x1400 might fit. It will offer better quality that the others.
