Compaq VS Emachine ... BOTH $364 Help me choose please!!!
Top link is the Compaq and the second link is the Emachine. Both computers are both $364 USD Exactly, and I'd simply like someone to help me decide which is the better deal. Please support your opinion as well and don't just say "this is better then that" .

Well, for starters, what are you going to do with it? As a general proposition, I would prefer the Sempron over the Celeron. I suspect they will be very similar.

It is just for basic necessary needs. Storing music and videos, and going online etc... Nothing massive.

the emachine is a celeron d... so isn't that a dual-core proc? if so, i think that might make it stand out slightly more than the compaq. however, the compaq has the 1600mhz fsb, which might be more useful in practical terms. other than these two points, the machines are prety much identical.

I'm not kidding... You can. E6300 $170, cheap motherboard, $50, 512RAM, $40, 250GB SATA HD $60, cheap case and PSU $40, a $30 DVD Burner. Add that up.... you get $390!
