Have a look at the HP Pavilion dv9000t or Dell E1705.
Those are both 17" laptops.

Re: Seeking a laptop...
Thanks for the quick reply. But would the Dv9000 be able to handle alot of graphics? I plan to be running a graphics editing applications and video editing applications at the same time, with Vista Aero running.
Answer:
Re: Seeking a laptop...
The graphics and video editing applications themselves would not suffer so much. However using Aero and running high end games would benefit from a better GPU like the 7900GS. Dell's e1705 offer's that GPU, and also a few of Toshiba's P105 model's do also. Some of the Sager replica brands offer those GPUs too, but they are usually a much larger, less portable notebook.

Vista is overrated. It is on the high side of your budget, but how about the Clevo M570U?

Re: Seeking a laptop...
Flight Simulator X, and other upcoming heavy graphics game You need a powerful video card for that, so check out the Dell Inspiron 9400/E1705. Anyways, you should get at least the Go 7900 GS and nothing below.
The Clevo M570U is the best 17" gaming notebook but for under 3000$, otherwise, the Dell 9400 is a good option for under 2000$
And, I'm not familar with the prices in your country(ies).

Re: Seeking a laptop...
Thanks for the suggestions. I would like to get the Dell 9400, but it is not currently available in the countries which I would be purchasing from. The Dell XPS m1710 is to expensive, so I would probably just stay with the HP Pavilion dv9xxx or 6xxx meanwhile. Thanks for the suggestions. :)

Re: Seeking a laptop...
Yes I haved, but I called them a few days ago regarding them, but they do not have it yet. Out of stock or something like that.
BTW, what is the main difference between NVIDIA 7400,7600,7800, and 79xx? How to they compare, to, say ATI 1600, 1800?
Would ATI graphics powered laptops be better in gaming? In reviews I see the ATI ones gaining more 3DMarks Points.
Answer:
Re: Seeking a laptop...
Check out the GPU Guide, also the first link in my signature.
3DMarks Points are not that important. Ati and Nvidia usually offer cards with similar gaming performance.
