End Questions
I've been looking at this, but for $850 (used deal to me):
Costco
Would the 7600 run @ 1920x1080 well (resolution of the 2405)?
I want a laptop that has DVI or HDMI to hook up to my 2405 or the Dell 1520 would be in the running. I also don't really care if it has a 15" screen or a 17" screen...
Any help would be great!
Thanks!

Re: Need a laptop to go with my 24" LCD
You will want a notebook with DVI or HDMI to use your LCD in such a high resolution and the one listed there has it, so it should be fine.
However, the 7600 is an older generation card, it'll play current games fine on medium, but may struggle in the future.
Perhaps fill in the FAQ for a more descriptive look at your needs.

Yeah bud, problem is it has no DVI or HDMI...I guess I COULD connect it via VGA to my 24" but I think that would defeat the purpose of a 24" monitor. :(
It bums me out...the Inspirons are perfect for my needs.

I thought the new Insprions had DVI out. Leave it up to Dell to mess up a perfectly good laptop by giving it crappy ports.

I've also been looking @ the Asus A90. The laptop will be plugged-in 95% of the time so battery life isn't necessarily an important factor.
A question I have though is the difference between the E4300 (Allendale) and the newer Conroe processors...I'm trying to keep the laptop ~ $1300 and can do that by going with the older processor...what's the difference between them?
