HControl.exe using major memory in Vista!

Question:
HControl.exe using major memory in Vista!
I'm 90% sure I remember reading this is an issue, but I really can't find the post here where a solution is listed. The topic is self explanitory, basically as soon as Vista loads the CPU is going nuts using 40-80% while idle until I kill HControl.
What's the fix to this?

it's not using major memory. it's using major CPU time. and there's no fix for it

It uses very little memory on my machine (1,224 K) and no CPU usage.

How do I uninstall it? When I run the add/remove dialogue it ends up running an INSTALLATION rather than an uninstallation.
I obtained the driver from the Vista Drivers thread, I'm really regretting installing it now O.o

Re: HControl.exe using major memory in Vista!
Rather than start a new thread I have 1 other issue with Vista at the moment. The old modified video drivers I used in XP had a setting to make non-widescreen programs display at 1:1 without stretching the image (black bars down the sides).
I can't find an option for this with the Asus GeForce drivers so images are getting stretched, is there a setting I'm missing somewhere or do I need to find modified drivers? (and if so, what drivers will work on the 7xxx series?)

Nvidia currently lacks most monitor control in Vista (and their drivers in general are lacking in most functionality found in their XP driver)
They have promised improved monitor control in next month's driver (and they have promised to start producing monthly drivers), whether the aspect ratio option will become available remains to be seen.
For the mean time, at least make sure that you are at least using the latest Nvidia drivers (100.54 or 100.59 are identical for non-Geforce 8 cards), if only for performance reasons.
