Question:
MT3705 problems
I picked up a MT3705 from Circuit City on Jan 30, and it worked great for the first day or so...after that, my display driver kept crashing around every 20 minutes, a problem I traced to the Aero theme, since when I switched to Vista basic, I haven't had a single problem. Any way to fix this so I can use Aero, since I haven't read about any one else having a similar problem?
Also, after burning a random number of discs (CDs and DVDs, usually only one, but occasionally multiple), the computer seems to "forget" that I have a disc drive installed and I can no longer access the drive until I shut off the computer (even restarting doesn't seem to fix the problem). I was wondering if this was due to overheating or something?
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: MT3705 problems
I tried to install a driver off of ATI's page, but have since rolled back and system restored to an earlier point since that didn't help. Also, I've installed every update that Vista can find, and still no solutions.
EDIT: I removed my disk drive from the computer (through Device manager), then rebooted and let it reinstall....still, after about 6 or so hours of me not even using the drive, there is no trace of it in the Computer or Device Manager screens, and the computer just seems to pretend that it isn't there...

Re: MT3705 problems
I had the same exact problem with the display drive.
I even sent it back to gateway to see if they could get it to work.
They didn't do anything, but reformat the hard drive.
I got so frustrated, I just installed XP on it instead.
Has anyone found a Vista Display Driver that works for the MT3705?
