Answer: 7.1 lb seems to be on the heavy side[:(]
I really like the screen options they have though, particularly the WSXGA+.
Now I gotta debate whether or not this machine is too heavy for a university student like me.
Is there any other similarly priced laptops that have Enhanced LCD, 14"+ AND at least SXGA+ ??
Answer: that's a good question, i've tried in vain to find a 14" widescreen in anything greater than wxga... anybody know of an wsxga or better in 14"?
thanx

Answer:
Yea, no manufacturer seems to offer a 14" widescreen with anything more than WXGA+, which is sad. In fact, I'm looking for a laptop that has 14" with glossy screen; does NOT have to be widescreen. I have yet to come across one that suits me though.
Answer: Hey guys, the 600m from DELL has a 14" Wsxga screen. Its a $75 upgrade. I work at a dell direct store.

Answer: I look at medical images on the laptop (not for diagnosing disease), for teaching files. I have noticed that the medical images look a bit blocky when compared to my desktop at the same resolution setting at 0.28 pitch. Is this a limitation of my screen resolution? Is this a limitation of the LCD technology of laptops in general.
