Question:
Alienware D9t
I have just bought this laptop from a friend he didnt have the spawn cd or the drivers, the HD crashed and i bought a new one and got everything working as far as RAID problems, but here is my next problem. I have searched everywhere for the drivers. Some of the drivers worked, most didnt. I did manage to get the Audio and Vid drivers working, not the TV Cap though. The Wireless drivers didnt work, i tried all the Clevo drivers and nothing seams to work. Would anybody happin to have the Utility CD for the D9t. Running XPPROSP2.
Thanks

Hi,
Have you talked to Alienware Tech Support Staff?
Maybe they can provide (sell) a respawn CD?
Good luck!

Re: Alienware D9t
when you say D9T, do u mean D900T?
I would go to this site:
http://www.pro-star.com/index.cfm?mainpage=download
check out the last models on the list, all of them are categorized as D9T/D900T
The wireless card (since the reseller can put any that they choose) can be varied:
- Intel 2200
- Gigabyte Turbo G (54Mbs)
- Gigabyte Wireless 108 Mbps 802.11a/b/g
- MSI MP54G
- MSI combo mini-PCI card MS6855B (w/ Bluetooh)
... and maybe 2-3 others that I cant remember
As for the TV Tuner, it is on the site that I just gave you:
- AverTV
- a (forgot the brand) mini-PCI MCE Compatible Tuner

Re: Alienware D9t
Thanks, none of the wireless or tuner drivers worked, kinda strange.
I might just have to pull it apart and see if i can find out what brand they are.

Re: Alienware D9t
before you pull it out, i recommend using a utility that detects all devices in the system, even if they are unknown.
Unknown Device Identifier
it works pretty well. just scroll down the Network Devices and look for the wifi card, it should tell you the chipset (usually Atheros for most notebooks)
Then you look up that chipset to get the drivers.
