C90S or G1S

Question:
C90S or G1S
I am really torn between ordering one of these two computers. Both look to be in the range of performance I am looking.
I will primarily use this computer for gaming. After that, it will be used for basic office work (writing, browsing the net, etc.) and some software development (C++ and C# - although this is likely just overflow for my desktop).
The price difference is negligible for me, so if you could point out pros or cons of these two systems that I might not be aware of (other than price), it would help me decide.
FWIW, the look of the G1S is a plus where I work

Re: C90S or G1S
well the C90 uses desktop processor (conroe) and can have mocre processing power than the g1s.
The g1s uses a faster gpu memory (ddr3) while the c90 uses ddr2 memory so right now the g1s is better for gaming, but this may change since theres the possibilty of upgrades for the c90 gpu..
last ill say teh g1s will probably give you more battery life and less heat since it uses the santa rosa chipset..
hope it helps

I think you have to evaluate battery vs performance. If you're going to have A/C available 90% of the time then the C90 will give you more performance. The C90 also theoretically can be upgraded to better GPUs.
If you need more than 60-90 minutes on a battery then the G1S maybe a better option, but you could probably purchase 2 C90 batteries for what the G1S costs.
Even though there are many posts about the C90, I'd give it more time if you can before you decide. The last laptop with a desktop processor didn't fair well. The C90 seems to be a better implementation - but there are heat and noise concerns some are voicing.
To me one of the best things about the C90 and other computer like the Compal IFL90 is they let you purchase exaxtly what you need and want. The G1S comes with Vista, a T7500cpu, a 8600GT 256 MB graphics, 2x1gb ram sticks, 160gb 5200rpm HD, bluetooth, backpack and mouse. Its good if this is exactly what you want. You can customize these but some options change the warranty and many of the upgrades, like having the dealer install a 7200rpm hard drive, are expensive. You're better off getting it stock and doing the upgrades yourself and selling what originally came with the G1S.
If you already have a backpack, mouse and OS then think about the C90 or the IFL90.

Thats the other advantage of the c90 vs g1s is that the c90 is defintily cheaper if you know what your doing when buying it.
